How to Play Binairo

- No three in a row. No more than two of the same digit may sit next to each other in any row or column — pairs like 0 0 are fine, but a run of three such as 1 1 1, horizontal or vertical, is never allowed.
- Balance every line. Each row and each column must contain an equal number of 0s and 1s. On this 6-wide grid that means exactly three 0s and three 1s in every row and every column.
- No duplicate lines. No two rows may be identical and no two columns may be identical — each completed row must be a unique pattern, and so must each completed column.
Those three rules are all you ever need. Notice that they push against each other in useful ways: the "no three in a row" rule stops any colour from clumping, the balance rule caps each colour at three per line, and together they often force a specific symbol into a cell without any guessing. Avoid-the-triple forcing
The most powerful pattern comes straight from the no-three-in-a-row rule. Whenever you see two identical dots side by side — say two 1s — the cells on both ends of that pair are forced to be the opposite symbol, a 0, because a third 1 would make an illegal triple. The same trick works with a gap: if a line reads 0 _ 0, the cell in the middle cannot be a 0 (that would build toward a run) and must be a 1. Scan the whole board for adjacent pairs and one-gap sandwiches first; each one hands you a free, guaranteed placement with no other reasoning required.
Complete the count
Use the balance rule to close out lines. Because every row and column needs exactly three 0s and three 1s, the moment a line already holds three of one symbol, every remaining empty cell in that line must be the other symbol. Keep a running count as you fill — if a row has three 1s placed, drop 0s into all its blanks immediately. This "the quota is full" deduction is the fastest way to finish a line, and finishing one line often triggers avoid-the-triple placements in the crossing lines, so the solution cascades.
No-duplicate-line deduction
Save the uniqueness rule for the endgame, when most lines are nearly full. If two rows each have only two empty cells left and they already match in every filled position, then those two rows must end up different — so at least one of them is forced into the arrangement that keeps them distinct. Comparing two almost-complete columns the same way frequently breaks the final tie on a Hard puzzle. It is the subtlest of the three rules, but on a tough board it is often the single deduction that turns two possibilities into one.
Work the intersections
Every cell belongs to one row and one column, so treat it as the meeting point of two separate deductions. A cell that could still be either symbol from its row's point of view is often pinned down by its column — maybe the column already has three 0s, or maybe placing a 0 there would complete a triple going down.
