1. Pass Line versus Don't Pass

Their edges are almost identical — roughly 1.41% for Pass and 1.36% for Don't Pass — so the choice is mostly about temperament. If you enjoy riding a hot streak with the table, take the Pass Line; if you would rather quietly root for the seven, Don't Pass is your seat. Neither is "better," and switching between them will not change your long-run odds.

2. Treat the Field as a quick flutter

   The Field looks generous because it covers seven different totals and pays double on the 2 and the 12. But look closer: the numbers it misses — 5, 6, 7 and 8 — are the most common totals two dice produce, and the 7 alone shows up more than any other.
